Staff Recommendation: The Book of Dead Philosophers

This is a fantastically entertaining and efficient way to explore the many philosophers of the past. Simon is a witty writer, making these timeless figures both more accessible and a pleasure to read. You'll find it hard to put this book down for very long. I'd recommend this book to anyone interested in philosophy or dead people.

Qualifications:
Computer Skills: Applicants must be competent in Microsoft Word and Excel, and would ideally be familiar with Photoshop.

Staff Recommendation: The Secret Pulse of Time

Klein deftly guides the reader on a journey through the very nature of time. Touching on subjects as diverse as the evolution of our biological clocks to how to maximize efficiency in your day, Klein's prose is delightfully awash in pithy literary and pop-culture references and is a pleasure to read. This book offers a renewed commitment to slowing down and enjoying the present.

Staff Recommendation: Fresh Food From Small Spaces

This book is all about how to grow food without loads of space, tons of time, or the experience of being a lifelong gardener. Ruppenthal emphasizes the importance of growing food, of understanding how plants grow, and delineates a number of simple and straightforward ways to grow some types of food from even the smallest of urban spaces, or with the smallest of budgets.
