Fire to Fire by Mark Doty

This new and selected book of poetry by Mark Doty highlights an amazing writing career. Reading Mark Doty's poems, the reader encounters the inspiration in everyday things through his truly accomplished imagery and language. His skill is so finely tuned as to appear effortless, with beautiful phrases like "a rinse of blue" flowing naturally when describing a crab shell. Absolutely lovely.

Join us in celebrating National Poetry Month with an evening of shared poetry. Participate in Open Mic Poetry Readings (bring your own or someone else's), browse our wide selection of poetry books and anthologies, network with the local poetry community (meet your peers, start a bookclub or workshop group), or just come to listen!

The reading will be held in the Upstairs Ballroom of Boulder Book Store. Sign-ups begin at 6:30pm.
